Laurel is a senior at Joseph Gregori High School. This is her 14th year dancing at Juline School of Dance and her 6th year as member of JRYB. She is a senior in the company. Laurel has studied ballet, tap and modern. Some of her favorite roles have been Arabian Lead, Wolf (Peter and the Wolf and Red Riding Hood) and Sugar Plum Fairy. When in school she enjoys math and floral design. Laurel plans to pursue a dance degree following high school.
Teague is a junior at Joseph Gregori High School. This is his 9th year dancing at Juline School of Dance, and his 5th year as a member of JRYB. He is a senior in the company. Teague has studied ballet, tap, modern, jazz and hip-hop. Some of his favorite roles have been Spanish, Snow King and Sugar Plum Cavalier. For the last two summers he has attended the San Francisco Ballet’s summer intensive. When he is not dancing Teague enjoys playing drums, ping-pong and spending time with friends.
Allie is a 16 year old sophomore at Connecting Waters Charter School. She is Secretary for CSF and Student Council, as well as a member of the National Honors Society. She is Managing Editor for her school's newsletter and is on the yearbook staff. In addition, Allie attends classes at MJC, working towards an AA degree. While Allie mainly focuses on ballet, she also loves contemporary, tap, jazz, and modern. This past year, Allie trained with San Francisco Ballet and danced in San Francisco Ballet’s Nutcracker. She has been dancing for 8 years and this will be her 4th year with JRYB. She has attended SF Ballet’s Summer Intensive for 3 years, and last year spent her summer training with Houston Ballet. Her favorite ballet is Firebird.
Michael is a sophomore at Whitmore Charter High School. This is his 3rd year as a member of JRYB. He is a senior in the company. Michael studies tap, jazz, modern and ballet. His favorite form of dance is classical ballet. He says there is nothing he would rather be doing than dancing.
Morgan is a 17 year old senior at James C. Enochs High School. She is the managing editor of the Enochs High School newspaper The Eagles Eye, senior class Historian in the associated student body leadership class, CSF member, Link Crew leader, Pura Vida club member, and Drive for Change club member. She is an Eagle Award recipient for responsibility and an AP student. She has been dancing for 14 years and this is her 5th JRYB season. In her free time she enjoys reading, traveling, and spending time with her family.
Mallory is 15 years old and a freshman at Whitmore Charter High School. She has worked to maintain a 4.0 through all of her school years. She has been a member JRYB for 4 years and is a 2nd year senior member. This past summer, Mallory danced with full scholarship awarded to her through attending Regional Dance America, at the Sacramento Ballet Summer Intensive for 3 weeks. She was also given a scholarship to the Brigham Young University Advanced Summer Intensive where she danced for 2 weeks. Mallory’s favorite experience in the company was having the opportunity to work with the JJ’s. She enjoys watching their love of dance grow and looks forward to working with the JJ’s again in the future. Mallory is grateful to be a member of JRYB and looks forward to the exciting opportunities that are to come.
Delaney is 16 years old, and is in the 11th grade at Connecting Waters Charter School. She is a member of CSF, NHS, and Student Council, maintaining a 4.0 GPA. She has 13 years of dance experience, primarily focusing on ballet, modern, and tap. She also loves to choreograph and hopes to set many pieces in the future. She has attended ABT and Joffrey summer intensives. Additionally, she has attended Regional Dance America’s National Choreography Intensive on scholarship for the past two summers. Delaney has also completed the student teaching program at Juline School of Dance and is a substitute teacher. This is her 6th year with JRYB, and 4th year as a senior company member. She hopes to go to college to pursue a BFA in dance and a BA in psychology.
Kaitlyn is a senior in high school. She is homeschooled through Connecting Waters Charter School. She has 10 years of dance training including ballet, tap, jazz, modern, and hip hop. She loves painting, sketching and many other forms of art. Her favorite ballet is Giselle. This is her 3rd year in JRYB.
Bethany is 15 years old and a sophomore at Whitmore Charter High School. She is a member of her school's Interact Club and is an honor roll student. This is her 3rd year as a member of JRYB and she is a senior in the company. Bethany has had 10 years of dance training which includes ballet, tap, modern, and contemporary. Her all-time favorite ballet is Don Quixote. Some of her favorite roles have been Arabian lead, Bluebird, and Clara. She hopes to pursue her love of dance in a professional company one day. When Bethany is not dancing, she enjoys spending time with her dog and hanging out with friends.
Anthony is 17 years old and is a junior at Oakdale High School. In school he enjoys singing in Concert Choir and participating in drama. He has been studying ballet, modern and tap for the past 8 years at Juline School of Dance. A senior company member, this is his 5th year in JRYB. For the past 4 summers he has attended the San Francisco Ballet Summer Intensive Program on scholarship. His future goal is to study dance and become a professional ballet dancer for a major ballet company. On his free time he enjoys watching ballets, listening to music and spending time with friends.
Sara Santa Elena
Sara is 17 years old and a senior at Enochs High School. She is a member of Pura Vida and CSF. She enjoys being with friends and family when she isn’t dancing. She has 13 years of dance experience which include: ballet, jazz, and modern. Her favorite form of dance is ballet, both classical and contemporary. Sara loves to dance because it allows her to express herself and forget the world outside. She hopes to continue to dance in college and pursue her BFA in ballet. Her favorite ballet is Romeo and Juliet. This is Sara’s 5th year as a member of JRYB.
Janae is 17 years old and a senior at Enochs High School. She has been dancing since she was 3 years old with Juline School of Dance (JSD). Some of her favorite things about being in JRYB are attending Regional Dance America festivals, taking classes with different instructors, and of course, performing. Janae maintains a 4.0 GPA, and is a member of Pura Vida Club which raises awareness for autism. When not dancing, Janae loves to spend time with her family, loves all things Disney, and would love to dance in Disneyland. Janae has also completed the student teaching training program and subs at JSD. This is her 4th year in the company, and she looks forward to the challenges and the opportunity to perform.
Ashley is 14 years old and is a freshmen at Connecting Waters Charter School. Ashley has 10 years of dance training which includes ballet, tap, jazz, modern and hip hop. In her free time she loves to read and draw while listening to music and hanging out with friends. Currently, her favorite variation is the Sugar Plum Fairy from The Nutcracker. This is Ashley's 3rd year in the company and her 1st year as a senior company member.
Lauren is 17 years old and is a senior at Beyer High School. She is the president of Beyer Dance Production, a member of CSF and Renaissance. When Lauren isn’t dancing, she enjoys baking and swimming. She has been dancing for 13 years, which includes ballet, modern, jazz, and tap. She has been a member of JRYB for 6 years and has participated in Regional Dance America Pacific Festival for the past 4 years, as well as attending the Regional Dance America Choreographers Intensive during the summer of 2016. Lauren loves to dance because she loves the feeling of performing onstage for other people and hopes to continue dancing in college.
Kaylee is 16 years old and a junior at Enochs High School. She is an AP student maintaining a 4.0 GPA, a Link Crew Leader, and a member of both the Pura Vida Club, an autism awareness club, and the CSF. In her free time, she enjoys photography and working with young children. She has eight years of dance training including ballet, modern, contemporary, jazz, musical theater, character, and hip hop. This is her fourth year as a member of JRYB and her second year as a senior member.
Isabella is 14 years old, and a freshman at Ripon High School. She has been dancing at Juline School of Dance for 8 years. This is her 2nd year in JRYB. In school, she enjoys studying math and science. When she is not dancing, she enjoys traveling and spending time with friends and family.
Emma is 14 years old and is a freshman at Enochs High school. She is part of leadership and takes AP and pre- AP classes. She has been dancing for 10 years at JSD, where she has taken classes in ballet, tap, jazz, yoga, Pilates, and modern. This is her 2nd year in JRYB and she is very excited to be an apprentice in the company. When Emma is not dancing she is probably practicing acting, singing, and public speaking. She also spends much of her time studying, doing homework, writing poetry, taking pictures, attempting to do crafts and creative hair styles, playing with her beloved cats, and reading. Her favorite ballets are Don Quixote (also a favorite book), The Nutcracker and Sleeping Beauty.
Madison is 14 years old and is a freshman at Beyer High School. She is a member of CSF and FFA. She is an American Legion Distinguished Student Award recipient for leadership, and a pre-AP student with a 4.0 GPA. She has 11 years dance experience including ballet, jazz and tap. Madison enjoys being involved in the JSD student teaching program and spending time with the young dancers. She has also shared her love of dance with young students during dance camp as a counselor for the past two summers. In her free time she enjoys being with family and going to the beach. She is looking forward to her 2nd year performing with JRYB!
Morgan (14) is an 8th grader at Savage Middle School; is taking all honors classes and is a member of CJSF. Ballet has been her passion since she first stepped foot on the ballet floor age 2 ½. In the beginning of first grade Morgan began taking ballet classes at Merced Academy of Dance. She continued to dance and perform there until 6th grade. She attended classes at Juline School of Dance in her 6th grade year. While attending Juline’s Summer Intensive between her 6th grade and 7th grade year she made so many wonderful friends and experienced amazing instructors. After moving to Modesto, she was invited to join Juline’s Regional Youth Ballet. Attending Juline’s Summer Intensive helped get her ready for ABT in Irvine last summer. When she is not dancing or studying, she enjoys skateboarding with her dog Molly, going to the beach or Lake Tahoe with her family.
Julia is 14 and a freshman at Enochs High School. This is her 11th year dancing at Juline School of Dance (JSD). Her dance training includes ballet, tap, jazz, modern and hip hop. She is a member of the Pura Vida Club, raising awareness for autism. This is also her 5th year in the student teaching program at JSD. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her sister and family. This is her 2nd year in the company.
Rachel is a freshman at Whitmore Charter High School, earning straight A's. She has been dancing with Juline School of Dance for 8 years, and has been dancing for 11 years total. This is her 2nd year with the company, she is an apprentice. Some of her favorite roles have been the Beauty Fairy from Sleeping Beauty, and Clara from the Nutcracker. In her spare time, Rachel enjoys reading and the outdoors, especially biking and camping.
Emma is 12 years old and is in the 7th grade at Connecting Waters Charter School. While in school, she enjoys studying math and history. Her hobbies include drawing, playing the piano, and playing games with her family. She also adores snuggling her fluffy cat, Luna. Not only does Emma love ballet, she is also fond of jazz and modern dance. Her favorite ballet is Sleeping Beauty. Emma has been dancing for 8 years, and this is her 2nd year in the company.
