Michael is a junior at Connecting Waters High School. This is his fourth year as a member of Juline Regional Youth Ballet, and second year as a senior in the company. Michael has studied tap, modern, jazz and ballet. He spent the past summer at The New Ballet School in San Jose. His favorite form of dance is classical ballet. He says there is nothing he would rather be doing than dancing.
Madison is 15 years old and is a sophomore at Beyer High School. She is a member of the Beyer Dance Production and CSF, and is a pre-AP student with a 4.0 GPA. She has 12 years dance experience including ballet, jazz, and tap. Madison really enjoys being involved in the JSD student teaching program and spending time inspiring the young dancers. She is looking forward to her 3rd year performing with JRYB!
Morgan (15) is a 9th grader at CCHS. She is taking all honors classes and is a member of Key Club. Ballet has been her passion since she first stepped foot on the ballet floor at age 2½ yrs. Morgan began attending classes at Juline School of Dance in 6th grade. Attending Juline’s summer intensive has helped get her ready for the ABT/Irvine Summer Intensive, which she has attended for the past two summers. When she is not dancing or studying, she enjoys skateboarding with her dog Molly, going to the beach or Lake Tahoe with her family. This is Morgan’s 3rd year with the company.
Mallory is a sophomore at Whitmore Charter High School and is 16 years old. She has maintained a 4.0 GPA throughout her school years, has been the company for 5 years, and is a 3rd year senior member. She danced at the Central California Summer Dance Conservatory this summer, and loved spending time with her fellow company members. Her favorite company experience was the opportunity she had to work with the Juline Juniors (JJs). She enjoys seeing their love and talent in dance grow with each class and performance they do. Mallory is very excited for this new year in JRYB and the opportunities to come.
Delaney is 17 years old, and is in the 12th grade at Connecting Waters Charter School. She is a member of California Scholastic Federation and National Honor Society, maintaining a 4.0 GPA. Delaney has 14 years of dance experience, primarily focusing on ballet, modern, and tap. She has attended LINES Ballet, ABT, Joffrey, and RDA’s National Choreography summer intensives. Delaney loves to choreograph and hopes to set many pieces in the future. Her latest work was adjudicated and selected to be performed at RDA/Pacific festival last year. Delaney is also a substitute teacher at JSD and an Outreach Dance teacher for the Juline Foundation for Children. This is her 7th year with JRYB, and 5th year as a senior company member. She plans on pursuing her BFA in dance next year.
Bethany is 16 years old and a junior at Whitmore Charter High School. At school, she enjoys working on anatomy projects and is a Principal's Honor Roll student. This is her 11th year studying dance at JSD and her 4th year in the company. She has trained in ballet, tap, modern, and contemporary. Her all-time favorite ballet is Don Quixote. Some of her favorite roles have been Arabian lead, Bluebird, and Clara. She hopes to pursue her love of dance in a professional company one day. When Bethany is not dancing, she enjoys driving with her dog and spending time with friends.
Janae is 18 years old and a freshman at Modesto Junior College. She has been dancing for 15 years which includes: ballet, modern, tap and jazz. She enjoys attending Regional Dance America Festival, as well as the many performance opportunities with JRYB. When not dancing, Janae enjoys spending time with her friends and family. She is also teaches at JSD twice a week. This is her 5th year in the company.
Julia is 15 and a sophomore at Enochs High School. She has been dancing for 12 years, including ballet, tap, jazz, modern and hip hop. This is her 3rd year in the company. Julia is a member of Leadership and the Autism Awareness Club at school. She is a pre-AP student with a 4.1 GPA. During her free time, Julia likes to spend time with her friends and family.
Kaylee is 17 years old and a senior at Enochs High School. She is an AP student with a 4.0 GPA and is involved in Link Crew, a freshman orientation and inclusion organization, Club Social, an autism awareness club, and the California Scholarship Federation. In her free time, she enjoys photography and volunteering in kids’ ministry at her church. She has nine years of dance training including ballet, jazz, modern, musical theater, character, hip hop, and tap. This is her fifth year in JRYB and her third year as a senior company member.
Emma is 13 years old and is in 8th grade at Connecting Waters Charter School. While in school, she enjoys studying math and history. Her hobbies include swimming, spike ball, and spending time with her friends and family. She also loves animals especially her cat, Luna. Emma loves ballet but also enjoys tap as well. Her favorite ballet is Don Quixote. Emma has been dancing for 9 years, and is in the senior company. This is her 3rd year with JRYB.
Sydney is a 14 year old freshmen at Beyer High School where her favorite subject is science. This is her eleventh year at Juline School of Dance and her second year in the company. In her free time she enjoys self-expression through various forms of artistic measures, going on family vacations, and doing Pilates and yoga. Sydney’s favorite styles of dance are ballet, jazz, and modern. Her favorite ballet is Swan Lake. Sydney aspires to one day dance professionally for Disneyland.
Clare is 12 years old and in 7th grade at Our Lady of Fatima. Her favorite subjects are science and math. When not dancing, Clare enjoys traveling with her family and volunteering at her church. She has 7 years of dance training at Juline School of Dance in ballet, jazz and modern. This is Clare's 2nd year in the company.
Bella is a 14 year old freshman at Modesto High School in the International Baccalaureate Program. She has maintained a 4.0 GPA throughout her schooling. This is her 9th year dancing at JSD and her 2nd in the company. She enjoys ballet, jazz, and modern. She is in the student teacher training program at JSD. Bella also enjoys volunteering at Therapeutic Playground where she works with children with special needs. This is a passion of hers and she hopes to one day find a career working with youth. In her free time, she enjoys eating, sleeping, watching Netflix, and spending some quality time with her family including her dog Max.
Kate is 12 years old and in 7th grade at Prescott Jr. High. She has been dancing at Juline School of Dance for 8 years and this is her second year as a company member. When Kate is not dancing she enjoys wakeboarding, dirt bike riding, and playing tennis. Kate's love for dance tops the list as her favorite thing to do.
Mayely is 15 years old and in the full IB program at Modesto High School. She is also in the Dance Production Company where she choreographs hip hop and modern dances. Besides dance, she has participated in Girl Scouts for the past 11 years. She also helps foster animals and volunteers at the Astro Foundation in Oakdale (animal shelter).
Leah is in the 7th grade and has been dancing for 8 years. She is grateful for the performing opportunities she has enjoyed with JRYB. Favorite roles have been Canary Fairy, Baby Mouse and Clara. Leah has danced the role of Clara for Holiday Follies and also as a guest performer with Merced Academy of Dance. She is excited to be reprising the role this year, her 3rd season with JRYB. When she isn’t dancing, Leah enjoys baking, painting, musical theater, spending time with her family and playing with her two beloved dogs.
Elizabeth is 14 years old and a freshmen through Connecting Waters Charter School. She has been dancing for 10 years and this will be her 6th year dancing at JSD. Her dance experience includes ballet, modern, jazz, and tap. In her free time she likes swimming, drawing, baking, and playing with her rabbits. Her favorite ballet is Don Quixote. This will be her 3rd year in the company.
