Laurel is a junior at Joseph Gregori High School. This is her 13th year dancing at Juline School of Dance and her fifth year as a member of Juline Regional Youth Ballet. She is a senior in the company. Laurel has studied ballet, tap and modern. Some of her favorite roles have been Arabian Lead, Wolf (Peter and the Wolf and Red Riding Hood) and Flowers. When in school she enjoys math and floral design.
Teague is a sophomore at Joseph Gregori High School. This is his eighth year dancing at Juline School of Dance and his fourth year as a member of Juline Regional Youth Ballet. He is a senior in the company. Teague has studied ballet, tap, modern, jazz and hip-hop. Some of his favorite roles have been Arabian, Spanish and Snow King. This past summer he attended the San Francisco Ballet’s summer intensive. When he is not dancing Teague enjoys playing drums, ping-pong and spending time with friends.
Michael is 14 years old and a freshman at Connecting Waters Charter School. He has been dancing for 4 years. This is his second year with JRYB. His favorite form of dance is ballet. He says there is nothing else he would rather be doing than dancing.
Morgan is a 16 year old junior at James C Enochs High School. She is section editor of the Enochs High School newspaper Eagle’s Eye, rally commissioner in the Associated Student Body Leadership class, California Scholarship Federation member, Link Crew Leader, Pure Vida club member, and Drive for Change club member. She is an Eagle Award recipient for responsibility and an AP student. She has been dancing for 13 years and is in her 4th JRYB season. In her free time she enjoys reading, travel and spending time with her family.
Mallory Marker is 14 years old and is a senior company member. She is very much looking forward to her 3rd year with JRYB. She is in the 8th grade at Whitmore Charter Middle School and is a straight A student. Mallory spent this past summer training for six weeks at Ballet West in Salt Lake City, Utah. Mallory enjoys volunteering with the JFC Juniors and watching their love of dance grow. Mallory's favorite roll she has danced is Arabian corps and her favorite ballet is Giselle.
Delaney is 15 years old, and is in the 10th grade at Connecting Waters Charter School. She is a member of the California Scholarship Federation, National Honor Society, and Student Council, maintaining a 4.0 GPA. She has 12 years of dance experience, primarily focusing on ballet, contemporary, and tap. She also loves to choreograph and hopes to set many pieces in the future. This past summer Delaney attended Regional Dance America’s National Choreography Intensive on a half scholarship, and was awarded an additional partial scholarship for the upcoming year. She has also previously attended ABT and Joffrey summer intensives. She is a Student Ambassador for the Juline Foundation for Children, volunteering in the Outreach Dance Program in local schools, as well as mentoring young dancers in the Juline Juniors dance program. Delaney is also enjoying her 3rd year as a student teacher at Juline School of Dance and loves working with the younger students. She would like to pursue her BFA in dance, and become a member of a professional company. This is her 5th year with JRYB, and 3rd year as a senior company member.
Kaitlyn is a junior in high school. She is homeschooled through Connecting Waters Charter School. She has nine years of dance training including ballet, tap, jazz, modern, and hip hop. She loves art and enjoys many forms of crafts including crochet and embroidery. Her favorite ballet is Sleeping Beauty. This is her 2nd year in JRYB.
Bethany is 14 years old and in the 9th grade at Whitmore Charter High School. While on campus, she enjoys studying biology. In her free time, she is fond of drawing, photography, and playing with her dog. Bethany has had 9 years of dance experience which includes ballet, tap, and contemporary. She enjoys dancing because it gives her a feeling of freedom and inspiration. Her favorite ballet is Don Quixote. This is her 2nd year in JRYB.
Anthony is 16 years old and a sophomore student at Oakdale High School. He has 8 years of ballet training at the Juline School of Dance, as well as tap and modern dance. He especially loves Classical and Contemporary ballet. For the past three summers Anthony has attended the San Francisco Ballet Summer Intensive where he received a full scholarship this year. His favorite ballets are Giselle and Coppelia. In his free time he enjoys reading, writing, and spending time with friends.
Sara Santa Elena
Sara is 17 and in the 11th grade at Enochs High School. She is a member of CSF, Enochs Leadership and has received an Altius Volans Award for academics. She was awarded a full tuition scholarship to State Street Ballet in Santa Barbara, for their 2015 Summer Intensive program. When Sara isn't dancing she enjoys hanging out with friends and listening to music. She has 12 years of dance experience which include: Ballet, Jazz, and Modern. Sara loves to dance because it allows her to express herself and forget the world outside of the studio. Her favorite ballet will always be the Nutcracker. This is Sara's fourth year as a member of JRYB.
Janae is 16 years old and is a junior at Enochs High School. She has been dancing since she was 3 years old with Juline School of Dance. Some of her favorite things about being in JRYB are attending Regional Dance America festivals, taking classes with different instructors, and of course, performing. When not dancing, Janae loves to spend time with her family, loves all things Disney, and would love to dance in Disneyland. This is her 3rd year in JRYB, and she looks forward to the challenges and the opportunity to perform.
Ashley is in the 8th grade and is currently privately homeschooled so she can further pursue her dance training. Ashley has 9 years of dance experience which includes ballet, tap, jazz, modern and hip hop. In her free time she enjoys reading and various arts and crafts. Currently her favorite ballet is Sleeping Beauty. This is her second year as a company member.
Lauren is 16 years old and is a junior at Beyer High School. She is a member of the Key Club, Beyer Dance Production and California Scholarship Federation. When Lauren isn’t dancing, she enjoys baking and swimming. She has been dancing for 12 years now, which includes ballet, modern, jazz, and tap. She has been a member of JRYB for 5 years, and has participated in Regional Dance America’s Pacific Festival for the past 3 years. Lauren was awarded a half tuition scholarship and attended Regional Dance America’s National Choreography Intensive during the summer of 2016. Lauren loves to dance because she loves the feeling of performing onstage and hopes to continue dancing after high school.
Kaylee Tio is 15 years old and a sophomore at Enochs High School. She is a member of the California Scholarship Federation and maintains a 4.0 GPA. She has seven years of dance experience including ballet, jazz, contemporary, character, musical theater, modern, and hip hop. This past summer, she attended the American Ballet Theater Summer Intensive in Austin, Texas. In her free time, she enjoys reading, baking, and photography. This is her 3rd year as a member of JRYB.
Leah Tullis is 17 years old and is in the 11th grade at Enochs High School, where she is a member of CSF. When she is not dancing she enjoys snowboarding, the mountains, and spending time with her friends and family. Leah has 10 years of dance experience which includes Jazz, Modern, Tap, and Ballet. She has attended the Brigham Young University Ballet Summer Intensive program in Provo, Utah for the past two summers. Her favorite ballet is the Nutcracker. She has been a member of JRYB for four years.
Jessica Williams is 14 years old and is a freshman at Enochs High School. Her studies are focused around the Veterinarian Technician Academy. In the summer Jessica likes to camp at Foothill Horizons and Pinecrest. She loves to swim, dance, be outdoors, and be around animals. Jessica has 8 years of dance experience with Juline School of Dance. Her favorite ballet is Don Quixote. This is Jessica’s 2nd year with JRYB.
